Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed October 7, 2026

The Abode of Peace is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We keep improving the experience for all visitors and follow recognized accessibility standards.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make websites work for people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, photosensitivity, and cognitive and learning differences.

Our website partially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conforms means that some content does not yet fully meet the standard. The exceptions are listed under Known limitations.

What we have done

Accessibility adjustments on every page

Select the round accessibility button in the bottom-left corner of any page to adjust the site to your needs. You can:

Quick profiles (Seizure safe, Low vision, ADHD friendly, and Reading and cognitive) turn on several of these at once. Your choices are saved on your device. These adjustments work alongside the accessibility features built into your device and browser, such as screen readers, zoom and high-contrast modes.
